Haiti

Keeping families together is our priority. We are working hard to end children being sold into restavek, the Haitian term for child slavery or abandoned to orphanages so that they don’t starve. Families receive a monthly Family Care Kit consisting of a 2 – 3 week supply of food. Also, one child per family is accepted into our Christian school for free. There the child receives a foundational education. The parents receive hands-on training for future vocations. Future opportunities via microloans are made available for small business ventures.

Safe water is provided to the village from a drilled well and the children tend to gardens, providing food for their lunch program and other church members. Jobs are created by selling part of the garden crop at the local market.

Since serving this area since 2009, many have commented that the presence of God is felt in their village.

Dominican Republic

Our goal in the Dominican Republic is tending to destitute people, those squatting in abandoned buildings, with no family, isolated by disabilities or, rejected by family. By meeting those in the streets or abandoned buildings we bring the gospel of Christ to them. Should they require medical attention, food or shelter we tap into our local networks. Being situated in a popular tourist area we also bring help to foreigners that find themselves isolated, hospitalized or even imprisoned. By showing the love of Christ to all in need our mission goals are realized. Julienne assists other visiting missionary groups with her 5 fluent, multilingual gifts.
